The following message is being provided to you as

the

Korea Society of Emergency Medicine is an Official

Sponsoring Society to the Emergency Medicine

Congress

in Nice, France. As a member, you are eligible for

reduced registration available at the congress.

Dear Colleagues:



The abstract submittal and hotel registration forms

are

once again available on the Mediterranean Emergency

Medicine Congress (MEMC) website at

www.emcongress.org. While the system was

unavailable

due to the server being down, we were always able

to

receive online registrations to the congress as

that

form was not affected during this process.



The server that is hosted in France to support the

online abstract and hotel forms was hacked

(unauthorized use or attempt to bypass the security

mechanism on the server) on Thursday, June 2. We

have

installed additional security measures to prevent

this

type of interruption in the future. All information

that was supplied to the congress during this

period

has been received and is currently being processed.



If you have submitted an abstract, a registration

and/or a hotel reservation and have not received a

confirmation by June 10, please contact

executive@emcongress.org and we will then confirm

and

clarify the status on an individual basis.



If you have not yet submitted an abstract, we

encourage

you to do so within the next week. We are reviewing

and scoring abstracts as they arrive and will be

sending invitations to those authors accepted for

oral

or poster presentations. The sooner you submit your

abstract, the sooner you will receive a decision!

We

will accept abstracts until Friday, July 1, 2005.
